What Do Wheel Spacers Do? Improve Vehicle Stability Increasing stability and resistance to side roll-over. This improves overall handling, grip, and cornering. Additional margin of safety for younger or less experienced riders.  Provide Better Traction Allowing installation of wider wheels and high-traction mud,rock or snow tires. And this allows for larger brake calipers which fixed brake caliper clearance issues, and inner fender and suspension clearance. Important Notes Installation by a professional technician is highly recommended.   Avoid using an impact wrench; hand wrench is recommended. Improper usage may cause lug nuts/bolts to break or loosen while driving, which will take potentially accident or injury. Be sure to torque the lug nuts to manufacturer specifications. Clean the surface where the wheel spacer will be mounted. Then, clean the back of the wheel as well. When applicable to your specific vehicle application, remove the rotor/drum retainer clips. Be sure to remove all rust and corrosion with a wire brush. All surfaces must be clean so the wheel spacer sits perfectly flat on the vehicle mounting surface. If the surface is not clean, wheel vibration will occur. Re-torque all lug nuts after 50-100 miles of driving, then again after 2-3,000 miles.  Tip: Ensuring that all mating surfaces are properly cleaned before re-torquing.
